He further pursued his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1983, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence.
With over three decades of experience in the real estate sector, Shri. Yoganand is a first-generation Technopreneur and currently serves as the Chairman & Managing Director of the esteemed Manjeera Group, Hyderabad. His leadership and expertise have significantly contributed to the growth and success of the organization.
Shri. Yoganand’s dedication to promoting sustainable practices in the construction industry is evident through his involvement in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) panel. He played a crucial role in formulating a new chapter on ‘Approach to Sustainability’ in the National Building Code (NBC) in 2011-14, showcasing his commitment to environmental responsibility and ethical practices.
His zeal for continuous learning led him to complete a Business Leadership Program at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, in 2013, further enhancing his leadership and management skills.
The recognition of Shri. Yoganand’s contributions in the field of Civil Engineering came when he was honored as the ‘Best Engineer of the Year’ by the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Hyderabad in 2016. This prestigious award reflects his outstanding professional achievements and dedication to his work.
Furthermore, he has actively participated in the development and regulation of technical education in India. He served as a member of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, for three years from 11-05-2016, where he made valuable contributions to the education sector. Additionally, he was nominated as the AICTE Representative on the Governing Body for Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council, Bengaluru, in September 2017, further solidifying his commitment to improving technical education and skills training.
His association with prominent educational institutions continues, as the Central Government nominated him as a Member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, for three years from July 2018. Shri. Yoganand’s contributions to the education sector further extended to becoming the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Technology Calicut in September 2020, where his visionary leadership continues to make a positive impact.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Shri. Yoganand is actively involved in social service. As the Managing Trustee of the GY Foundation, he is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of people through various philanthropic initiatives.
